Trade Your Ibuprofen for Turmeric

Pain from osteoarthritis can be life altering - it effects your quality of life and keeps you from the activities you love.

Usually the first step for pain relief is oral medications such as Tylenol or Anti-inflammatories (Ibuprofen or Aleve). Unfortunately these medications have side effects and should be taken cautiously. #Turmeric is another option.

Be sure to discuss using turmeric with your doctor as there are some medication interactions.  Also consider an anti-inflammatory diet. I often teach my patients to shop on the perimeter of the grocery store and to eat more plants based protein / food.

Eat close to the ground!

When oral medication and dietary changes still keep you from the activities you love it may be time to consider injections into the painful joint.
